Pretoria

Pretoria

The city of Pretoria is found in the northern part of the Gauteng Province. Today the area has been renamed the City of Tshwane, but the CBD still keeps the name of Pretoria. It is one of the country's three capital cities, serving as the executive administrative capital and houses the Union Buildings, the official seat of the South African government. Pretoria, also known as the Jacaranda City, can be divided into three sections: West, East and North, relative to the CBD.

Pretoria is contained within the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality with popular towns including Centurion, Akasia, Soshanguve, Mabopane, Atteridgeville, Ga-Rankuwa, Winterveld, Hammanskraal, Temba, Pienaarsrivier, Crocodile River and Mamelodi, each catering and providing residents with their ideal dream home close to business centres, schools, and parks, and offering easy access to main roads.

The City of Tshwane is the second largest municipality in Gauteng and is among the six biggest metropolitan municipalities in South Africa. It has positioned itself as Africa's leading capital city of excellence, rich in political and cultural heritage.

The municipality’s main commercial sector is focused on community service, finance and manufacturing. The largest sector within manufacturing is metal products, machinery and domestic appliances followed by the manufacturing of transport equipment.

Many architectural structures throughout the city show a variety of influences, such as the Union Buildings in Meintjieskop; the Voortrekker Monument, south of Pretoria; the City Hall in Pretoria city centre; the Ou Raadsaal, south of Church Square; and UNISA in Muckleneuk. The Pretoria area is also home to many nature reserves, parks and gardens, including the National Zoological Gardens, the National Botanical Gardens and many small parks scattered across the city.

Find your perfect property amongst the Jacaranda trees; a townhouse in Montana or Sinoville or an apartment in Mountain View, Pretoria North and surrounds. Once you are amongst the preserved gems of Pretoria, take time to enjoy the horse trails at the Voortrekker Monument or skydive at the Pretoria Skydiving Club.
