Within the Municipal boundary of Mossel Bay is the eco and wildlife estate of Moquini.
Panoramic views over the bay of Dana bay and enriched with a great variety of fauna and flora. The Western boundary is the Blind River flowing through very deep rocky ravines and forming a lagoon where it mounts into the sea. The lagoon with its fresh and salt warm water is an ideal swimming experience. It has a sandy floor bed and there are no dangerous creatures so swimming is safe.
Moquini is a 220 hectare private nature reserve of sloping highlands, dramatic rock formations, deep gorges and valleys, coastal plateau and a riverine splendour on the Indian Ocean coastline.
