Welcome to the home of Windrush Stables, a private livery yard that meets all the requirements for both the competitive and non-competitive rider who wishes to live on the same property as their equine friend. Windrush Stables is situated 5km away from the academic town of Potchefstroom, and is located on the peaceful and tranquil property on the N12 owned by Clare Maloney. The yard consists of 35 well ventilated brick stables, a full size jumping arena with dyke and steps, a 60m x 20m Dressage arena, and 60m x 40m grass flatwork arena, large grass paddocks for horses turned out in small groups, individual post and rail paddocks, lunge ring, wash bays, solarium, a 1600m canter track, 6 excellent full time grooms, expert 24 hour supervision, 3 x individually structured meals per
day per horse, and only the best A grade teff and lucerne is sourced and fed
We have a farrier who comes in once a month, an Equine Physiotherapist every 5 to 6 weeks, a qualified saddle fitter every 4 months and a qualified equine dentist every 6 months to check on the horses.
Clare herself is an international judge, and has been involved in horses all her life. She is a qualified instructor for all the English Disciplines ie. Jumping Dressage, Showing, Equitation. There have been a number of her pupils who have achieved their Provincial colours and have also achieved SA Championship titles. We also have Jan van Deventer who teaches dressage here, and Monique Malan who teaches the beginner and novice riders An opportunity has arisen where a four bedroom house with a swimming pool, beautiful gardens, own driveway/entrance and secure parking has become available to those clients wanting to stable their horse at Windrush. The house consists of kitchen, large dining area and sitting room, large light bedrooms overlooking the beautiful stable yard with walk in cupboards and bathroom. The gardens are maintained by our full time gardener.
