The setting is tranquil, with two secure, secluded gardens, whilst the facility is secure with electrically controlled outside doors. The facility itself is light and airy with wide corridors.

With the Amber Lakes development next door, the Amber Valley Care Centre has been effectively updated by Assisted Living Units to cater to the greater Amber residents (Amber Valley, Amber Ridge, Amber Lakes and Amber Lee).

Residents are encouraged, where feasible, to become involved in activities in the Village e.g. playing bridge, attending concerts, and church services in the chapel which is right next door to the Centre. There is an on-site library and hairdresser too.
