This unique property was built in 1870 only 6 years after the town was established. It was built as a cooldrink factory that remained in operation until 1889. The factory survived a fire and was then rebuilt as a home and was purchased by South Africa’s first female pharmacist, Louisa Greeff in the 1940s. Our local old age home, the Gert Greeff te Huis is named after Louisa’s husband.
The current owners bought in 2015 and have spent so much time and thought to preserve the homes unique character while renovating.
