The units are as follows:
6 x units equipped with twin beds, bedside tables and lamps, travel bag stool, 2 x wingback armchairs with coffee table, a full bathroom with shower and bath plus towel utility rack, as well as a kitchen with various cupboards, breakfast bar and two barstools, a microwave, four plate gas hob and fridge/freezer. Cutlery and crockery, cast iron pots, roasting pan and egg pan, electric and stove top kettles and a toaster complete the kitchen. Extra blankets, laundry bags and hangers are provided in the clothing cupboards.
In the vicinity is also a Coffee/Gift shop.
Solar Geysers
All the units and the house are fitted with Solar Geysers. 5 Solar Geysers service the 8 units and the coffee shop. The house has its geyser fitted.
The geysers have backup thermostats which are on timers for the colder winter days and rainy summer days.
House
The house is 10 years old and approx 162mq. It is comprised of a spacious open plan Lounge. Kitchen/dining room with separate office space. 1 double-sized bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a separate guest toilet.
The kitchen currently has a fully sized dining table and 6 chairs in it, with sufficient cupboard space, a 4 plate Defy gas hob with electric oven and fitted dishwasher.
The office space can also be used as a small sunroom/ reading space.
The large Double Bedroom has laminated flooring and plenty of floor-to-ceiling cupboard space. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, basin, toilet and extra shelving(for more packing space)
The house is built north-facing and plenty of warm sunlight fills the house through large windows all around.
The ceiling is fitted with extra thick Aerolite meaning that the house is always cool in the summer and cosy warm in the winter. Solar Panels, an Inverter and a Lithium battery are installed, meaning the entire house and laundry which works 99% of the Eskom grid. The savings to your Electricity account is significant.
Garage
An extra large double garage can accommodate two large vehicles and is also fitted with a fully functional laundry area with two large washing machines, ironing boards and a laundry packing table, as well as a trough washer. Two large fitted cupboards fill one wall of the garage and serve as storage for laundry and cleaning products as well as blankets and towels for the Retreat. A large metal cupboard holds all the linen and duvets, also an extra-length chest freezer is housed in the garage, as well as a pull-out washline that is fitted along one wall. The garage was originally planned as two extra bedrooms with a shared bathroom, and conversion can be done with minimal effort. Plumbing, electricity and windows are already installed. Plans are available for an additional double garage.
Carport
8 Covered Parking bays, plus an uncovered tarred area for motorbikes/trailers etc. There is also easy access to the back of the property should additional parking be required.
The property has two entrance gates, but only one is currently being used.
Water filtration system with underground water storage tanks.
There is a water filtration system installed along the front perimeter of the guesthouse, with a 2000lt water tank buried in the ground. The water collected in this tank is used to water the garden during the dry season. Another 4000lt cleaned-out Septic Tank at the back of the property is used for additional water storage for garden use.
