This 24-hectare farm on the N1 outside Louis Trichardt in Limpopo Province features 1,400 Fuerte avocado trees, with an additional hectare of Hass avocado trees. There are also 600 young macadamia trees, aged four years, and 800 older macadamia trees, aged twenty years. All trees are under micro-irrigation. Two boreholes supply the farm with 14,000 litres and 12,000 litres per hour, respectively, while a third borehole provides 9,000 litres per hour for the house and garden. Three DFM soil moisture probes ensure accurate moisture content and temperature readings.
In case of load shedding, a 42kW generator automatically starts when a power failure occurs, fully supporting the farm’s needs.
