This property is situated roughly 175km from Pretoria, and plus minus 55km from the Kranskop off-ramp on the N1. Beautiful bushveld savanna at its best. This property features best of both worlds of which the Springbok Flats are known for. The lodge can house 22 people within a well planned setup and which offers something else than the norm. The swimming pool and braai area will also have you look twice to appreciate. Nothing is too big or too small, distances between chalets, sizes of living areas and bathrooms are - just right.
The lodge has DSTV coverage and good cellphone reception.
The whole farm will give you the impression that all is taken well care of and maintained. From the fencing, to the roads, watering points, dams, camp gates, cattle handling facilities,
wooden window frames and slate floors.....to name a few. Entrance to the farm is via a coded keypad, picture included.
The farm is 342 hectares in size, game fenced, with 11 inner camps for cattle management.
Included in the sale is 8 Oryx, 5 Sable, 6 Reedbuck, 15 Impala, 6 Njalas and 12 Kudus.
2 Boreholes are equipped with solar systems which feeds the dam and drinking troughs on the farm.
The third borehole is connected to the grid from the Eskom point close to the main lodge.
There are a few personal items that will be removed from the lodge at the time of the sale, but this will be to such an extend that the lodge can be seen as fully equipped and furnished.
Grazing capacity is roughly 5 hectares per head of cattle. Area's rainfall is between 400 and 450 mm per annum, therefore the grazing consists of sweet grass types which is packed with nutrition even in winter time. Around 177 hectares of the farm is debussed grass fields with good carrying capacity.
There is no shortage of birdlife in the area - I even got the chance to photograph a group of around 100 vultures which I identified as the White Back Vulture. This is a peaceful and quite area with low occurrences of theft or similar incidents. Travelling distance to nearest towns are 35km to Marble Hall or Roedtan.
