This is a beautiful irrigation and small stock/game farm.
The farm is situated on the Waterford Road, 42km from Somerset East and 52 km from Jansenville on the tarred road.
The farm is 937ha large : 600ha is a large camp for the game , and the dorper sheep to graze on 300ha. The farm is divided into 8 camps. 10.35ha is a pomegranate orchid.
There is no Hartwater on the farm.
FENCING
The farm is fully game fenced ( registration number CAE no E25/2017/GR and has a good internal road network. Fencing stretches for 13km and is 2.4m high.
POMEGRANATES ( 9060 Trees Cultivar Wonderfull)
9,000 trees were planted in 2017 , enclosed and serviced with a dubble drip irrigation system , supplied from a borehole.
Trees start producing in 2nd year at 5/6kg per tree. A full harvest happens the
5th/6th year for 30 years.
An average harvest in year 5/6 should produce 40kg per tree. The expense of producing and harvesting is calculated at 20% of the income.

2 Permanent workers work on the farm.
More labour for harvest time can be supplied from Somerset East.

WATER
The water for the stock and dwellings is obtained from 6 boreholes. , fitted with submersible pumps. Water for the stock is supplemented by 3 earthen dams and 2 concrete reservoirs.
All camps have permanent water supply.
Tanks : 2X 5,000l ( main house and hunters lodge), 2X 2,500l and a 5,000l for the water truffs.
There are 2 cement dams for the pomegranate orchid.
CLIMATE
The farm is in a predominantly summer rainfall region, the rain estimated at 450 to 550mm/year. Annual rainfall occurs in the form of thunderstorms. The highest rainfall is n February with 74.6mm, and June has the lowest rainfall with 20.1mm
The highest temperature is in January at 29.6 and the lowest temperature is in winter at 5.5
VEGETATION
The veldt type is a combination of False Karroid Broken Veld (Acocks 37) and false Central Lower Karoo ( Acocks 38).There is also Xeric Succulent Valley Bushveldt.
There is a wide range of palatable karoo bush species, with Chrysocoma Tenuifolia ( bitterbos) in the minority.There are species like pruimhout, byangel, and boerboom. Grasses include hartjiegras, beessteekgras, buffelsgras, and an abundance of rooigras and settaria.
Grazing Capacity
The capacity is 12ha per large stock unit.
GENERAL TOPOGRAPHY
The area is largely undulating ranteveld with low mountains, becoming flat towards the north.
BUILDINGS
The homestead has a dwelling (360m2) with an entrance hall, office, 3 livingrooms, ( 1 is an indoor braai room) , kitchen, scullery , laundry , 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The hunters cottage ( 110m2) is open planned with a lounge/kitchen, 4 bedrooms. A bathroom with a bath , a shower, and 2 toilets. 220 volt.
There is a shed for the implements/ abattoir, 442m2 ..
